Though the hotel and facilities are a bit dated, the location and proximity to the station is wonderful. The price is also reasonable.

Kyoto Tower Hotel is extremely convenient as it is near kyoto station. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping areas around.

What was the highlight of Kyoto Tower Hotel
Room lacks adequate electrical outlets but location is fantastic.
The location of this property can't be beat. - right across the street from Kyoto Station. Excellent shopping and eating choices in the area. Our room was very clean, had 3 beds and was very spacious. Plenty of room for our large suitcases plus a spacious closet. The staff is very professional, pleasant and helpful. We only stayed for 2 nights and was surprised that housekeeping came in to freshen up our room the morning after our first night there and changed out all the towels. I don't know of any hotels who provide daily housekeeping since COVID.
The electrical outlet situation in our room, however, was a problem. There were no outlets on the 3 of the 4 walls. The 3 beds were against one wall which had a long narrow headboard with affixed lamps. No side tables and the headboard was only wide enough to accommodate a cup and cell phone. No way to charge any electronics or plug in a cpap machine. I went to the front desk to ask for 2 extension cords, one of which I used to run from the wall across from the beds. Just awkward to have to step over the cord when walking in the room. We plugged the other extension cord into the other open outlet on the 4th wall so we could charge electronics. Oh, there was an outlet by the door (?), which, when I plugged my charging block into, was in the way when you opened the door. Again, awkward. An outlet in the bathroom was on a narrow vanity but good enough to charge a cell phone. Also, I believe the air conditioning filters need to be cleaned. The room smelled musty when we entered and I sneezed a lot while the room.
